Minneapolis CBD leads in large leasing deals
Vacancy rates in Minneapolis CBD continue their trend of shrinking every quarter. Vacancy at IDS Center declined 250 basis points since 2014 and the building now has its lowest quarterly vacancy in recent years. The demand for premium downtown office space is substantial and even co-working firms are getting in on the craze. JLL has promoted Nick Mazzocco to the position of Project and Development Services (PDS) Lead in Minneapolis. The announcement was made jointly by Chris Rohrer, Minneapolis Market Director for JLL and David Roberts the Central Region Director for JLL’s PDS group.
“JLL has a rapidly expanding real estate business in the Twin Cities and this is a unique opportunity to grow our local project management business,” said Rohrer.
Shakopee experienced significant industrial leasing and buying activity during the second quarter of 2015. Big names like Amazon, Polaris and AmerisourceBergen will soon all be moving to the Southwest metro.
Amazon confirmed rumors of their move by leasing a 60-acre site to begin construction on a 820,000-square-foot fulfillment center. Amazon also leased out an existing 162,000-square-foot building for a package sorting facility nearby the center.… Read More
